Kinder Buenos are actually very bad for you

Why weren't we told this before Easter...

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse…

It’s fair to say that food is an important part of life for many of us.

One food in particular that I for one can’t get enough of is chocolate.

It’s awful news to myself and many other chocaholics that Kinder chocolate is actually very bad for you.

According to Metro, the popular chocolate brand has been tested for chemicals known as mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) which emerge after the refinery of oil in foods. The MOAHs were also reportedly found in chocolates such as Ferrero and Lindt.

Food experts told of how damaging the chemicals can be when found in the human body.

“MOAH…can cause cancer and damage the human genome…”

It’s said that the producers of Kinder and other chocolates were informed of the harmful information but instead of recalling the products, they chose to ignore it.

“The manufacturer is guilty of gross negligence, instead of clearing the dangerous candy from the shelves and warning consumers, they (haven’t)”.

In a statement, Ferrero denied the presence of dangerous substances in their products and promised to make better efforts in reducing hydrocarbons in their products.

“At Ferrero, together with all our supply chain partners, we are working on technical solutions to minimise these omnipresent substances as much as possible and to avoid transfer and migration to food…

“Ferrero would like to reassure that all Ferrero products are created with the utmost quality and attention to product safety always in accordance with all local strict food law legislations.”

If there was ever a time to stop eating chocolate, it’s now ladies…
